Profile: Is this the end of the road for Ryan Raburn? The former fifth round pick has made his hay in the majors by mashing lefties, but in two of the past three seasons, he has failed to be an asset against lefties. In 2014, he posted a 64 wRC+ against lefties, and in 2016, it was 105. Not bad, but nothing to write home about, certainly. In between, he posted a 172 wRC+ against lefties in 2015, in what was his largest sample of plate appearances against them, 176. If he eventually finds a contract out there, that'll be why. But whereas Raburn used to be decent against righties, things have fallen apart on that score in the past few years. Since 2014, his wRC+ against righties has been 25, 29 and 45. That's ghastly to the point where you really can't hit him against righties, which is probably perpetuating a vicious cycle. If this is the end, he can say that he was one of the 2,127 players in major league history to tally at least 2,600 PA. Which is more than you or me tallied, and that's something. Furthermore, he was able to instill fear in other teams if the situation was right. That's a pretty good career.

The Quick Opinion: There hasn't been a lot of rumors about Ryan Raburn's next destination. That'll happen when you put up a 73 wRC+ in your age-35 season.
