Profile: Major league teams sometimes need boring, defense-first catchers like Stewart. They're called "backups." Sometimes, backup catchers team up with particular finicky pitchers to form an exclusive "battery." Another term for such arrangement is "personal caddy," even though caddy is very much a golf word. Greg Maddux had Eddie Perez. Other pitchers had their version of Eddie Perez. As far as this author is aware, Stewart is nobody's Eddie Perez. But he does often work with Gerrit Cole. That's something, right? Just not in fantasy. (Brad Johnson)

The Quick Opinion: Stewart's a defense-first backup catcher, which may help the Pirates but does not help anyone in fantasy.
