Profile: After declining rapidly for years, Sabathia was surprisingly serviceable in 2016. He threw more innings than he had since 2013 and recorded his lowest ERA since 2012, making him one of the Bombers' more reliable starters. Be skeptical, though. CC's 36 now, so a complete collapse can happen at any time. And while last year's 3.91 ERA was nice, it came with less-nice fielding independent numbers. This means Sabathia likely got a bit lucky, especially considering he's historically under-performed his peripheral stats. Barring injury, Sabathia should be a mainstay in the Yankees' rotation in 2017. He'll give you innings, but don't count on him pitching particularly well. At this point, he's just an innings eater who'll give you an ERA starting with a "4". (Chris Mitchell)

The Quick Opinion: Despite his bounce-back 2016 campaign,Sabathia is nothing more than a back-end starter at this point. That has little value in most fantasy formats.
