Profile: Oh, if only pitch framing were a roto category... I'd say it feels like it's been a long time since Norris had a productive and fantasy-relevant season, but looking back at his career, did he ever really? Sure, in 2014, Norris' park-adjusted offense (wRC+) was 23% better than league average, but he barely slugged .400 and reached double-digit homers by the skin of his lumberjack teeth. He walked a ton, but even back then, he was barely league average against righties. In 2016, Norris posted a wRC+ of just 49 against like-handed pitching, but most alarmingly, his production against southpaws —formerly, his strength — cratered. Now with the Nationals, the good news is that he's moving out of Petco Park. The bad news is, Nationals Park might actually be worse for him. The worst news is, Matt Wieters is going to be starting ahead of him. While more hitter-friendly overall, righties had a harder time going yard in DC than in SD, which doesn't bode well for Norris' declining power. Furthermore, his strikeouts are on the rise. His chase rate jumped substantially in 2015 and again marginally last year, while his swinging-strike rate has increased by nearly 50% over the last two seasons. For those in two-catcher leagues, where any starter has value, you could do worse. That is, if the Nationals hadn't signed Wieters late. After all, he does move to a stronger lineup, which bodes well for his runs and RBI totals. The problem is he'll likely bat 8th when he does manage to get in the lineup. (Rylan Edwards)

The Quick Opinion: Norris has more value in reality than fantasy. Until he proves that 2015 was an aberration and not the start of some drastic decline in skill, look elsewhere for your backstopping needs.
