  1. Or cheeseburgers slow you down

  2. What’s wrong with this that play?

Just because it’s hit to the shortstop side (more towards the middle) doesn’t mean Betancourt HAS to play it. Betancourt was deep to the left side while Weeks was close to 2nd. Weeks had the best chance to reach that ball.

  3. Can Yuni has cheezburgerz?

    Yes. Because race car.

  4. I prefer the usage of ennu-frigging-i myself, but to each his own.

  5. Thanks you for GIF-ing this! When that happened, I turned to my girlfriend (next to me on the couhc trying to do homework) and said, “THAT is what I call the ‘Yuniesky Betancourt Effect.’” She didn’t get it, but I didn’t try to explain it further. I’m glad someone else noticed.

  6. It does look like Betancourt is running to the ball right when the GIF switches views. He starts off running and then as soon as he realizes he has no chance at the ball he lets up.

  7. The point is, Weeks is seen failing in Pedroia-esque fashion, trying desperately to knock that ball down, whereas Yuni is doing exactly the opposite.

You are the SS. You play ANY ball to your left that you can get to. He showed once and for all that he doesn’t care as much as other players. I wouldn’t let that guy anywhere close to my team if I was a GM, even if he paid ME to play.

  8. This is exhibit A as to why KC fans were jumping for joy when the Brewers took him off of our hands. Betancourt will hit the occasional long ball to appease most fans…but his defense is absolutely god awful so the passionate knowledgeable fans see him for what he really is…a waste of a roster spot

  9. if he’s not going after the ball, where is he going? he’s jogging like they’re out of the inning.

  10. Perhaps Yuni is jogging towards Cuba?

  11. You almost had the explanation in the first sentence of the last paragraph. It was written in the stars, obviously.

  14. Alcides Escobar makes that play look easy.

  15. I have no idea how one would pronounce that.

  16. Rickie Weeks should just play short and 2B at the same time. I think it would improve the Brewers defense

  17. The problem is that on a hard chopper up the middle, he charged IN on the ball and then let up almost immediately. If he plays a better angle he might not get Craig at first (probably wouldn’t) but at least would have stopped the second run from scoring.

also i don’t know why you’re defending yuniesky fucking betancourt
