  4. Enjoyed the post! I believe there could be two possible additions to the “almost made it” baseball movie list:
    1. George Clooney was once cast as Moe Berg to star in the film adaptation of “The Catcher Was a Spy.”

    2. Bill Murray was planning a biopic of Bill Veeck in an adaptatioin of the book “Veeck As In Wreck.”
