  1. This is great. Although it depresses me that my city of 140,000 people doesn’t have a good batting cage anywhere :(

  5. Hey everyone, I do offer hitting lessons. I charge by the hour. Anyone looking for some tips? Anyone?

  6. How good a batting cage depends on the talent of the hitter. That being said (and untrue), I’ve never been to a batting cage where I can even make decent contact. They’ve all been awful cages and machines. Obviously it is the equipments fault and mine.

  10. He had a couple of good quotes:

    “I feel like Cespedes!”
    “70 is FAST!”
    (Charlie Brown-esque) “AAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!”

  12. It’s a rare one. I’ve never seen another Barton shirsey. Living in Michigan is part of the reason. The bigger reason is that Barton just isn’t good.

  13. The “athletic Caucasian possibly twice his size” (me) is 5’9 and about 155. So yeah, I’m about twice Wiers size. I also want to point out that he did put 5 balls in play, so I win the wager.
