The moments where the downbeat coincides exactly with Revere missing the ball are exquisite.

Somewhat older recording, early 1960s?, with the piano really drowning the orchestra out. Honestly the pianist sounds a little choppy and unsteady. There’s some unseemly clattering, and moments of hesitation and messy chords. Orchestra really gets into the spirit; I like the conducting here. Not a fan of the soloist, whoever it is.

Hey, somebody coughed! This is a concert bootleg?

This is better than therapy. Not that I would know, of course.

Not quiet as dramatic, but if I may suggest playing this track whilst enjoying the above gif.

Request: Bartok and Adam Dunn (in the field, of course). Thanks.

Writing from Massachusetts–not in the lock down part, but this is much better than the endless stress today. Gracias!
