Aaron Rowand Walks Quietly
But be careful, this is nearly blue in its indecency. NSFW but not really, you know what I mean?
Scouts might say he’s got long levers and a big load.

Hah, oh Aaron.
“Do you think he’s maybe compensating for something?” -Shrek
Is this the worst-looking stance in baseball right now? Seriously, who competes with this squatty waggle? I’ve got a 60 mph slider that could ring him up…
Seriously, can anyone explain whatthehell Rowand thinks he’s doing with that ridiculous looking stance? It’s like my daughter said, “no one else is doing it and he’s a terrible hitter!” He supposedly spent the winter adjusting his stance and it was supposed to be more upright. We say him in Arizona yesterday and if anything it’s WORSE than before!
I know that he gets into a fairly standard position just as the pitch is being delivered, but I just seems to me that it creates such a long timing mechanism that he has to commit too early on whether to swing or not. Also, it seems like he is always just a bit off balance at all times in the process.
It just seems to me that he’s been so terrible for so long and his batting stance is so unorthodox that he might consider junking it completely for a more standard approach….or something!
Eno, levers, plural?
It’s only really terrible when he tears it off at the end.
what a dick move.
Gives a new meaning to having a great stroke!
Clearly, he swings with his bat!
I think I’m just about the biggest Aaron Rowand fan he could ever have and I think he caught my attention almost right away just because of his stance. Oh and by the way DRBGIANTSFAN he has an awesome sweing right now and a really good batting average. He has been hitting awesomely lately and you guys should give him a chance. Plus he’s and awesome center fielder and the Giants would really lose out if they trade him. He has awesome sportsmanship too. If anyone ever says something bad about him again I will come and hunt you down.
