Chris Young Next to Regular-Sized People: Jason Bay
Here’s an image — following Jason Bay‘s first-inning grand slam during last night’s Mets-Marlins game — an image of right-handed pitcher Chris Young next to the aforementioned Bay, a regular-sized person (click to embiggen):

Carson Cistulli says terrible things at The New Enthusiast.

Earlier this year, Jon Rauch pitched to Jose Altuve. The 18-inch pitcher-batter height differential was the largest since Mr. Edward Carl Gaedel.
And in Beloit a few years back, the Snappers had a 5’4″ listed height third baseman who was a teammate with Loek Van Mil (7’1″).
I’m personally rooting for Nate Freiman to win a roster spot just to watch him and Altuve next to each other.
