GIF: Jason Bay Broken Career Face
So now, less than three years later, you can get bleacher seats in your nearest National League stadium and look down on left field, and with the right kind of eyes you can almost see the high-water mark — that place where Jason Bay‘s career finally broke and rolled back.
Eno Sarris manages the RotoGraphs blog when he's not asking players about stats. Follow his misadventures in writing on Twitter @enosarris or at www.enosarris.com. You can chat with him here about baseball (real and fantasy) and beer at FanGraphs most Thursdays at noon eastern time, if you like. And come check out BeerGraphs if you like suds!

Didn’t he do this in LA a couple of years ago, too?
Poor Jason Bay. Nothing but a complete class act in Pittsburgh; played his heart out for some great teams. Such a disaster after he left Boston.
At least he netted the Bucs Andy LaRoche and Brandon Moss.
Right? Oh.
Don’t forget Craig Hansen!
Man that trade looked ugly from the start, didn’t need to use hindsight.
Still, Bay was always a very productive hitter, not sure why he became horrible all of a sudden.
he went yard after this. poor timing Saris. poor.
One home run does little to ease the pain of the last three years, dude.
Sarris – Ill wager a Pirates fitted Bay goes .270 15hr 65rbi or better. These concusssion guys Mourneu et al. take a bit to come back.
I like how you can even see him hang his head as if to say, “Welp. That’s it. Career: done.”
Or as if to say “I hope they don’t make fly with this concussion like they did Ryan Church.”
With a bit of luck, his life was ruined forever. Always thinking that just behind some narrow door in all of his favorite bars, men in red woolen shirts are getting incredible kicks from things he’ll never know.

Hilarious. Guy smashes his face and gets a concussion playing hard, and it’s funny to some people. Please finish high school soon.
Is it a Captain Obvious move for me to compliment the Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas allusion?
