Image: Ryan Braun Celebrates Thing Somebody Else Did

In the second inning of Monday’s Brewers-Dodgers game, Carlos Gomez made a fantastic play in center field to rob Juan Uribe of a home run. You should really watch it, as it was pretty dang awesome.

More important, though, was Ryan Braun’s celebration of the play, pictured below.

Again, this picture is but another reason to watch the video linked above, as images cannot truly capture the magnificence and grace of Braun’s celebration of that thing that other guy did. But the image is pretty good by itself, too.

I saw the highlight on Sportscenter and while the catch was great, the Braun fist pump was the first thing I noticed. It’s great that he was so excited about the play, just don’t get hurt celebrating buddy…because ballplayers have a tendency to do that…

That type of fist pump makes me think Braun has some Tiger blood in him.

Uribe’s follow-through on home run swings is so damn stupid, he must feel dumb celebrating for nothing.

      are you kidding me?
homerun happy hands are the best part of Uribe’s game! not to mention the sole reason us Giant’s fans used to cheer for him.

but you are kinda right… i mean if I was a Dodger tryin to pull that follow through off i *would* feel pretty stupid.

That is really touching, actually. Braun’s evident pleasure seems kind of childlike and sweet.

Is there a good term to describe a fist pump so exaggerated that it no longer is prudent to calling it a fist pump?
