Meaningless Infographics #2: A Journeyman’s Journey

I pass, like night, from land to land;
I have strange power of speech;
That moment that his face I see,
I know the man that must hear me:
To him my tale I teach.

Below, in cartographic form, the tortuous tale of that Peerless Peripatetic, that Inimitable Itinerant, Octavio Eduardo Dotel (whose membership in thirteen major league ballclubs has set a new standard).

Incidentally, one could put together a rather respectable (and fast!) team with players involved in Dotel transactions over the years. All position players have played at least one game at their listed position.

The Dotel Trade All-Stars

C – John Buck

1B – Mark Teahen

2B – Roger Cedeno

3B – Derek Bell

SS – Anthony Jackson

LF – Colby Rasmus

CF – Carlos Beltran

RF – Corey Patterson

SP – Mike Hampton, Edwin Jackson, James McDonald, Kyle Davies

RP – Marc Rzepczynski, Mike Wood, Trever Miller, Brian Tallet

      Not impressive. Four Pounds of Pork and a Dishwasher could finish in at least fourth place, and a small African nation ahead of Houston in the standings

      I was only able to give this a plus one, for it’s accuracy it deserves that. For my Cub hatred, it deserves +1000000

    I smiled as soon as I saw Cedeno at 2nd. I was at the game when that he played his 1 out there. Thanks for wasting my money Masato Yoshii.
