Octavio Dotel Hasn’t Technically Been Everywhere

Danny Knobler of CBS Sports is reporting that the Detroit Tigers are close to signing veteran right-handed reliever Octavio Dotel. If and when the deal is made official, the Tigers will become Dotel’s 13th team in 14 seasons.

That’s not technically everywhere, but it’s a-bunch-of-where.

A lot of those Johny Cash towns have minor league outposts, I bet Dotel has been to some of that everywhere, man.


That has to be one of the oldest running shticks in popular (country) music, and probably dates back well before Cash’s era. Just name as many towns as you can in 3 minutes, and someone that once was in one of those towns will hear the song and say to themself “Hey, he just sang about (insert town name here)! I’m buying that record!”.
