Thanks for the stats Bobby Baums. I know you put them up to demonstrate that his baserunning and defense were “totes” crap too. No wonder all this guy’s records are getting broken.

Considering this is going to be a thread about bashing some of Babe Ruth’s antiquated thinking, it may not be the best time to bring up Karten Braash, who at the time the 203rd ranked male tennis player and demolished both Williams sisters in one afternoon. Braash, like the Babe, also enjoyed an occasional beer (or three, maybe even a couple while beating the Williams sisters).
