      And by the transitive property, Kottaras and Rizzo better plan on exchanging holiday cards for years to come.

    Theo Epstein wasn’t with the Padres in 2002 when they drafted George K. He’d already followed Larry Lucchino to Boston after the Sox sale to JHenry&Co was completed in Feb. 2002.
