Video: President Obama Trolls Red Sox Nation
Just when I thought I couldn’t love President Obama any more than I already do, he goes and does that. After those in attendance shelled out $250 to be there, and after Boston contributed over $3 million to Obama’s re-election campaign.
The point is: You have to represent your team, no matter the time, or the place.
Four more years, yo.

As a liberal who voted for Obama and a Yankee fan. I enjoyed this. like a lot. lol
Do you have a brain? or do you only use your left side…
It should be noted that, as a Canadian, Mr. Vaswani does indeed not have a vote in the presidential election — until such a time, that is, until Canada has been annexed either by means of (a) force or, more likely, (b) having its sovereign pants charmed entirely off by our charismatic leader.
Pretty sure Canada’s already part of the US. The Blue Jays are in the American League and everything.
Just remember who won the War of 1812, gentlemen.
The British?
Aye.
Andrew Jackson? Not militarily, sure, but it did cause him to become President. Therefore, he won.
As a Chicagoan I should note that monsieur Vaswani is welcome to vote here any time. Even on election day. Even after he dies.
Appropriately, Obama throws a lefty eephus pitch.
Fangraphs: where politics and baseball collide.
Somebody should tell him they’re not booing, they’re Youking.
Obama is like the author of this piece (of garbage) also a foreigner.
Go home.
Youk don’t do politics.
That’s some mean shit, man.
Only love.
Only love.
Obama throws like a girl and therefore I can and will never respect him.
True. Now W.knew how to come over the top…
And GWB could’a probably named his favorite Texas Ranger:
“I’m a South side kid.” – Obama
“Who was one of your favorite White Sox players growing up?” – Rob Dibble
“Ya know…uh….I, I thought that uh, ya know, the truth is that a lot of the Cubs I liked too, but uh, I did not become a Sox fan until I moved to Chicago. Because I uh, ya know I was growing up, uh, in Hawaii. So I ended up actually being an Oakland A’s fan.” – Obama
He also promised to adopt a rescue dog if he won, but got a purebred.
I don’t care about politics, but those are the rigging on the cut of a jib.
Yes, indeed- four more years of drone strikes in sovereign nations, assassinations of US citizens with zero due process, a sprawling national security state, federal troops storming medical marijuana facilities that are legal under state law, prosecution of journalists, thuggish strong-arming of whistle-blowers, and corporatism!!! You gotta love this guy!
I find the passionate love and hate and taking sides between Obama and GWB to be as absurd as that between Red Sox and Yankees fans. President Obama has ratified, extended, and expanded the decisions of Bush in areas from foreign policy and civil liberties (including preemptive war, drones, etc.), only limiting in areas where Bush has already limited (the existing Iraq withdrawal timetable, stopping waterboarding even as we assassinate), as well as in deficit spending, bailouts, and other areas of domestic policy (including the War on Drugs, where his position is more prohibitionist than Pat Robertson, and on gay marriage, where he’s finally reached the enlightened position of Dick Cheney.)
Politics, as baseball, is about rooting for a team, not policy.
Shhhhh!
Don’t mention these issues.
All the Obamazoids, Democrats, and pseudo-progressives will throw a fit if you even suggest that the Obama Regime is much more similar to the Bush Regime than people want to admit.
It’s a sacrilege to question the Nobel Peace Price winning Barack Obama.
The Predator Drone President is morally righteous!
That’s Hope and Change (or not).
And here’s a little love song to Barack Obama that Navin Vaswani surely would appreciate–courtesy of Lowkey and friends:
