Time to sell Josh Hamilton?

0 votes
Dave Cameron has a couple articles this week about Hamilton's struggles (Swinging at EVERYTHING).  What do we think of his second half?  Is he going to straighten this out, or should we sell him for another OF (someone like McCutch or J Upton)

Only maybe.  For one, he's still awesome and won't hit .200 for ROS.  For another, this Josh Hamilton is swinging at everything meme is even in the mainstream baseball media now.  It's going to be tough to get elite-level value for him.

That being said, if you are down on him and get a top-level return ... why not?

I would trade him for J Upton or McCutch. Don't forget that Hamilton's bones are made of dust and he could get injured at any moment.

But selling now is selling low. Hamilton seems to have gone a little crazy swinging at everything and he is a hacker. But unless you have evidence that he's actually lost his mind, I think a return to 2011 form is likely. Make sure you get a return that would be acceptable for his skills rather than selling low.

Should I try to "buy low" Hamilton with Trout?
