Who should I go with? I have high hopes for both but can't quite decide.

I'll go Perez too. If their talents were a wash then there would be a few things that would lean me towards Perez:

1. Kauffman is a little more favorable for righties then Petco, and Petco is very unkind to lefties (for when Grandal is batting from the left side)

2. Royals have a better lineup and score a few more runs. If Hosmer and Gordon can pick up the pace it will get even better, and if Quentin gets traded, the Padres will have an even tougher time.

3. The opposing pitching. I'd rather face the AL Central pitchers than the NL West pitchers moving forward.

perez, but it's  close. neither are going to hit for a ton of power, but perez has demonstrated the ability to hit ML pitching for a longer period of time, so he probably has the higher floor ROS.
