Profile: Koehler never veers too far from his ERA indicators, only once approaching even a half run difference. In other words, his mediocre results are a product of his mediocre skills. Everything checks out. There's no hidden level to Koehler's game. He throws a passable 92 mph on average, has four pitches, doesn't miss enough bats, walks too many, and isn't above contributing to the home run surge with some regularity. The 31-year old righty is a classic innings eater whose reliably bland work keeps him employed at the back end of a rotation. Every team has to fill at least 1458 innings in a season and knowing you can pencil Koehler in for his 13% (~185 IP) has value... just not any fantasy value.(Paul Sporer)

The Quick Opinion: Koehler is a classic WYSIWYG guy, good for 30+ starts a season of nearly league-average work propped up by his success at home. His strikeout rate is below average and even his best-case scenario ERA totals can't offset the consistently ugly WHIP.
