Adrianza (oblique) is expected to open the season on the disabled list, MLB.com's Rhett Bollinger reports. (3/28/2017)Injury:
|Profile: Adrianza has been a replacement-level player for his entire career. With a career WAR of 0.6 in 154 games, he doesn't project to be much more than that kind of player going forward. As primarily a middle infielder, he should be able to hang around the game for awhile. Offensively, though, he doesn't inspire a lot of confidence. Adrianza ran into a couple home runs in 2016, but with just 27 in 3,189 career minor-league plate appearances, power is not something in his offensive arsenal. He was tendered a contract by the Giants for 2017 and might be the 24th- or 25th man on their roster, but he'll be a non-factor in the fantasy baseball world.|
The Quick Opinion: Through four seasons and 331 plate appearances, Adrianza hasn't given fantasy baseball players much to be excited about. He's a glove-first player who won't be given a look as even a platoon player. He's a classic Four-A player who has zero fantasy value.
