News: Weeks (wrist) will miss the rest of the season after suffering a torn tendon sheath in his left wrist on Sunday against the Cardinals, the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reports.

Analysis: A very tough break for Weeks, who was in the process of having a career-year for Milwaukee. He'll need four-to-six months to recover, while surgery is currently scheduled for Wednesday in Phoenix. The Brewers will have to consider making a move to address the gaping hole at second, while Craig Counsell and Casey McGehee will share time there for now.

News: Milwaukee assistant GM Gord Ash said that the Brewers are very concerned about Weeks' wrist injury and will make a decision on his future after he meets with a specialist on Monday, according to the team web site.

Analysis: The Brewers were concerned enough that they had Weeks headed to Phoenix to see a doctor before Sunday's game even ended. Casey McGehee and Craig Counsell are the most likely replacements for Weeks at second base, though the team could also call up Hernan Iribarren or Alcides Escobar from Triple-A Nashville.
