News: McGehee had arthroscopic knee surgery on Tuesday, the Associated Press reports.
Analysis: Brewers GM Doug Melvin classified the surgery as "intermediary," not intensive, and said that McGehee would be ready for the start of spring training.
Saturday, September 12, 2009
News: McGehee went 4-for-5 with two home runs and six RBI in the Brewers' win over the Diamondbacks Saturday.
Analysis: He set season-highs (and career-highs) in hits, home runs and RBI with the performance, and he upped his average back to .300 for the first time in a month. He got pushed from second base earlier in the season when the Brewers acquired Felipe Lopez, but now he has taken over as the regular third baseman.
