5) According to the Dallas Morning News, the Rangers made a 3 year, $30+ million offer to free agent P Kevin Millwood, while the Fort Worth Star Telegram reports the sides aren’t even close to a deal.

6) According to ESPN.com’s Peter Gammons, the Blue Jays are expected to trade for Diamondbacks 3B Troy Glaus. According to the Boston Herald, the Red Sox are still interested in him.

7) The Astros signed INFs Danny Klassen, Eric Munson and Kevin Orie and Ps Joe Borowski and Steve Sparks to minor league contracts.
