You should take a closer look at what Goldschmidt is doing, how he’s doing it and how long he’s been doing it. Adam Dunn is a horrible comp. Goldschmidt is hitting .330 since May 1 with a .999 OPS and .600 Slug. Not one month under .300 since April. Worst OPS was .888 in July.

If you want a good comp try Piazza. Similar approaches on where they drive the ball. Goldschmidt doesn’t make contact as frequently as Piazza but he’s playing in much more favorable park than Piazza ever had. He kind of came on like Piazza too. Under the radar and then boom there he is. Piazza’s line in his first full season (also at age 24): .318/.370/.561. Goldy’s current line .308/.371/.551.
