Fantasy Risers and Fallers? I’m skeptical

FoxSports has an article up by Roger Rotter naming some players rising and falling in fantasy value over the first half-week of games. My problems with this are that nearly every players is a starting pitcher, so you’re first of all basing this valuation on one start. That’s bad enough, but furthermore, the recommendations are based on the results of said lone start. It would be one thing to make a scouting-based recommendation, that would be passably valid since you can draw some conclusions about mechanics or repertoire from one start. The thing you can never do is tell how good a pitcher is going to be based on him allowing one run over seven frames.
