News: McClung and the Marlins agreed to a minor league deal with an invitation to spring training on Monday, MLB.com's Joe Frisaro reports.
Analysis: McClung, who had a 4.94 ERA and troubling 40:39 K:BB ratio with Milwaukee last season, will compete for a bullpen spot with the Marlins.

News: Manager Ken Macha said that McClung may be a candidate to close if Trevor Hoffman isn't ready to start the season due to a oblique injury, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
Analysis: The Brewers are preparing McClung to be ready for the rotation if Bradon Looper isn't ready, but also may be using him as a closer instead if Hoffman can't go. Hoffman's injury doesn't appear to be serious right now so don't start drafting McClung really high. Just keep an eye on the situation because it might get you a few early season saves.
