News: Morneau, who missed the final three weeks of the season due to a stress fracture in his back, also had surgery on Monday to remove a bone chip from his right wrist, the team's official web site reports.
Analysis: The surgery for the wrist looks minor. The bigger worry is the stress fracture of the L5 vertebrae in his back. He's expected to be ready from the stress fracture in time for spring training, but watch his progress this offseason.
