| Analysis: The police responded to a call form Cabrera's wife, who was angry that her husband came home late from a night of drinking. Cabrera had been out partying with players from the White Sox, the Tigers' opponent over the weekend. Cabrera's wife insisted that her husband leave the house, so police took the Tigers' slugger to the station where he registered a .26 blood-alcohol level. After making sure Cabrera wasn't in medical danger, he was released. Neither Cabrera nor his wife pressed charges, so hopefully the issue is resolved, but the Tigers surely can't be happy about their best offensive player acting this way during the most important series of the season. |
