News: Snider will have to earn a starting outfield spot this spring, the team's official site reports.
Analysis: The only given in Toronto's outfield is Vernon Wells as Adam Lind will likely serve as the team's primary DH. Snider struggled with consistency last year and will need to get off to a strong start this spring with Jose Bautista, Jeremy Reed and Joey Gathright battling for playing time. "Travis knows he's coming in and competing for a job, whether that be in right or in left," general manager Alez Anthopoulos said.

News: Snider smacked two home runs Tuesday, both off Sergio Mitre, but struck out in his other three at bats.
Analysis: Snider had not homered since August 25 and he has slumped since getting called up in the middle of that month. There is some power potential here, but he will remain at the bottom of the order because he can't make consistent contact at this level yet.
