News: Lopez went 3-for-4 with two home runs and three RBI in the Mariners' win over the Orioles Wednesday.
Analysis: He has hit a home run in two of his last three games. His strikeout Wednesday was just his second of the month. He whiffed 13 times in May.

News: Lopez went 0-for-4 Tuesday and made a costly error in the field that could lead to his benching Wednesday.
Analysis: Lopez's error on an easy double-play ball with one out in the fourth inning allowed the go-ahead run to score. He then came up in the next frame with runners at the corners and grounded into an inning-ending double play on the first pitch. Ronny Cedeno started Tuesday at shortstop for the struggling Yuniesky Betancourt, and it wouldn't be shocking if he moved to second for Lopez on Wednesday. Lopez's bat has been slow-swinging so far. He has only nine extra-base hits (three homers) and is hitting .228 with a .602 OPS.
