News: The Rays recalled Joyce from Triple-A Durham after Saturday's game, the team's official site reports.

Analysis: Joyce hit .315/.408/.530 in 149 Durham at-bats with five home runs, six steals and 27 RBI. Manager Joe Maddon said Joyce will play Sunday and will be in the lineup as frequently as possible. The team sent Dale Thayer to Durham to clear room on the active roster.

News: Joyce was sent down to Triple-A Durham after Sunday's game, according to the Tampa Tribune.

Analysis: He needs to play every day to really be developed, said Joe Maddon. I really think hes going to be a very good player. Say, for instance, if he ends up as our right fielder with Carl and B.J., thats a lot of athleticism, youve got some power between center and right thats just a very interesting group." The move was done in anticipation of activating B.J. Upton off the DL on Monday. Keep tabs on Joyce, especially in keeper leagues as he'll be back up at some point this season for good.
