News: Gamel is leading off for the Brewers on Sunday, the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reports.
Analysis: That job has belonged primarily to Craig Counsell lately, but he's not in the lineup as Casey McGehee is getting another start at second base. Meanwhile, it's believed that Counsell may be dealing with a leg injury, after he was replaced by a pinch-runner in the ninth inning on Saturday night. Gamel doesn't profile as much of a leadoff hitter, so it's unlikely that this will become a permanent arrangement.

News: Gamel is likely to remain with the team even now that games in AL parks have finished, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
Analysis: Gamel went 7-for-23 on the six game road trip and was used mainly as the DH. He'll continue his platoon situation with Bill Hall at third base.
