News: Aceves will get the start for the Yankees against the Twins Thursday, Newsday reports. "We feel, out of the options, he's the most stretched out for us and figure he can give us 65 pitches on Thursday," manager Joe Girardi said.
Analysis: Aceves has been effective out of the bullpen, so it remains to be seen if this will stick, but a good outing Thursday would of course help his cause.

News: Aceves might ultimately be transitioned to the rotation to replace the injured Chien-Ming Wang, the New York Daily News reports.
Analysis: Phil Hughes is another option, though at this point manager Joe Girardi seems adamant that Hughes should stick in the bullpen. In the short term, the Yankees might call up Sergio Mitre for Wang's next turn in the rotation, before the All-Star break.
