| News: Lugo, who returned to Boston's lineup this week following the rehab of his right knee injury, was lifted in the eighth inning of Tuesday night's game after his right knee stiffened on him in the cold, Cleveland weather, the Boston Globe reports. |
| Analysis: Lugo went 2-for-3 with a walk, an RBI and a run scored before leaving. In the field, Lugo committed an error that led to three runs. And he was too aggressive chasing a fly ball that was center fielder Jacoby Ellsbury's play to make, leading to a Mark DeRosa double. While we expect him to get most of the playing time at shortstop, Lugo will not be in the lineup every day early on and there's always the potential that his fielding adventures could impact his playing time. |
