News: The Astros will ask Wright to compete for a rotation spot in the spring, the Houston Chronicle reports.
Analysis: Wright has had mixed results as a situational lefty, but the team likes the life in his arm enough to give it a shot. The Astros want to get younger and Wright (24) could be a piece of that youth movement.
