News: Reynolds (flu) expects to return to the lineup against the Giants on Thursday, the D-Backs' official site reports.
Analysis: "Basically, the worst thing you can imagine, I've had the last couple of days," Reynolds said. "They said I had a slight case of pneumonia and a severe stomach viral infection or something." Reynolds took batting practice before Wednesday's game, so the green light for Thursday looks promising.

News: D-Backs' manager A.J. Hinch will use Reynolds at first base whenever Chad Tracy isn't in the lineup, the team's official site reports.
Analysis: Reynolds made his fifth start of the season at first base on Tuesday night, while Tracy's playing time has significantly dropped off with Hinch at the helm for Arizona (48 at-bats in 18 May games). It remains to be seen how the D-Backs will handle first base and left field when Conor Jackson returns from the DL, but Reynolds' playing time appears to be much safer than Tracy's at this point.
