News: Verlander picked up his 12th win of the year after holding the Rangers to four runs (three earned) on six hits in seven innings Wednesday.
Analysis: He struck out 13 (which tied a career-high) and walked none in another commanding performance. This was his second double-digit K total in five July starts, both of which were accompanied by zero walks.

News: Verlander gave up one unearned run in a complete game win over the White Sox on Friday afternoon.
Analysis: He struck out four and walked four, but Verlander was able to get out of trouble each time he worked his way into it. Verlander continues to pitch very well at Comerica Park where he's posted a 1.15 ERA in nine starts this season.
