News: Andrus' contract was purchased by the Rangers on Sunday, officially putting him on the Opening Day roster.
Analysis: It was known several weeks ago that the plan was for him to be the Rangers' Opening Day shortstop. Making the leap from Double-A is both an indication of his ceiling and a reminder that patience should be exuded here. Andrus' biggest asset for fantasy owners this season will likely be steals, but they may come at the expense of a low average and limited contributions in the other categories as he continues to develop his game.

News: Andrus has been sidelined with past few days due to soreness in his wrist, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.
Analysis: Andrus is going to have to show he's not ready for the majors, as his spot in the Opening Day lineup has all but been guaranteed, but he may miss the first few exhibition games as a result of this minor injury.
