News: Pena (broken fingers) has already started taking batting practice and said that the injury that ended his 2009 is not a concern, the St. Petersburg Times reports.
Analysis: "I feel great," Pena said Monday. "I'm very happy with that. My hand is pain-free - no discomfort at all." Pena will turn 32 in May, but he's facing the possibility of drawing one more multi-year MLB contract as 2010 marks the final season of his three-year agreement signed with Tampa Bay back in January 2008. Even when he's healthy, there's a good chance he'll be a drain on your batting average, but it's worth noting that a 54-point dip in his BABIP was largely behind his .227 average and .356 OBP in 2009. Now that he's healthy again, something in the .240-.250 range should be within reach.

News: Pena (hand) is done for the year, according to the St. Petersburg Times.
Analysis: A huge blow to the Rays, especially when Pena had seemed to find his home run swing. Drop him immediately in redraft leagues and look for help elsewhere at first base.
