News: Schafer was optioned to Triple-A Gwinnett. He was hitting just .204 with 63 strikeouts in 167 at-bats.
Analysis: Gregor Blanco was called up from Triple-A and will start in center field on Tuesday. It may not be too long before Schafer is called back up considering the slim options for Atlanta's outfield.

News: Schafer has been playing with a sore left wrist, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports. "It bothers me, but it's going to just nag for a while," he said.
Analysis: He's gone 3-for-7 with a walk the past two games after breaking out of an 0-for-14 slump. It doesn't look like the wrist injury is a major concern, but track his progress.
