News: Volstad threw a five-hit shutout Wednesday against the Giants for his sixth win.
Analysis: He struck out six and walked none in his first career complete game, which required only 105 pitches. He allowed multiple base runners in only one inning, and he was perfect from the fifth until the ninth.

News: Volstad struggled with his control Sunday, allowing three runs over 4.1 innings on six hits and five walks. He struck out five.
Analysis: He was uncharacteristically wild both within and outside of the strike zone, but given that this is his first full major league season you have to expect some growing pains. Volstad's ERA on the season is still only 2.76.
