News: Saunders was 1-for-4 with two strikeouts while batting ninth Friday against the Yankees.
Analysis: Saunders is now down to .250/.297/.300 with no homers in 60 at-bats. Still, the Canadian-born Saunders is just 22 and probably should be in Triple-A at this point anyway. He still has intriguing long-term power potential.

News: Saunders was called up by the Mariners on Saturday.
Analysis: Saunders hit .303/.377/.531 at Triple-A Tacoma this season with 11 home runs and 24 extra-base hits. The Mariners have long needed a lefty power bat. He'll see time in left field, sharing the spot with Ryan Langerhans.
