You know how much I dislike when these podcasts veer off into politics? So much so that, not very many minutes into this particular episode, I applied pointer finger to the “stop” button and selected “Baseball Tonight – The Podcast!!!” in its stead. Let that be on your conscience.

Just a note to Mr. Aaron Gleeman. Adam Carolla and Dr. Drew’s politics have not changed since Loveline. I believe I am qualified to say as much as I listen to both old Loveline episodes and new Adam Carolla and Dr. Drew podcast on a daily basis. They have always preached family, education, and birth control. I agree with your statement of claiming that both are republicans (and/or right-leaning libertarians). However, that does not make either a “bad person”.

I highly recommend actually listening to the podcast(s) and then making a judgement instead of making a judgement based off of the iTunes reviews of people with an agenda (in one direction or another).

I *think* Aaron was saying that they were “scumbags” because of how they take advantage of people not necessarily because they are “Republicans,” although it was also pretty clear that Aaron doesn’t have a high opinion of Republicans.

But who cares? I listen to Aaron for his thoughts on baseball and Carson for his thoughts on… hmm. Something. If they want to veer off into other topics once in a while, good for them. They are both amusing to listen to, even when they don’t know what they are talking about.

I say this as a nominal libertarian.

I didn’t hate the political discussion because I happen to agree with Aaron, and I enjoyed the interesting analysis of comedians, but I can see how it would be off-putting.

Otherwise, this was a really enjoyable listen. The ~80 minutes went by very quickly, you guys have a knack of moving seamlessly through random topics together. Have Aaron on again soon, Cistulli!

I agree you with both Hans and Jay in the fact that I highly enjoyed the conversation between Aaron and Carson.

My intent was only to communicate to Aaron (and anyone else who may have listened and made a judgement based on Aaron’s comments) that as a fellow fan of classic Loveline that Carolla and Drew are not quite as he described and he may want to re-evaluate for himself.

Fantastic podcast! It isn’t Dayne Perry, but it was damn close. More Aaron, and of course, a lot more Day he!
