News: Young was held out of Thursday's game as a precaution due to his recent hamstring issues.

Analysis: Texas manager Ron Washington didn't want Young to play in a day game following a night game, and gave the start to Omar Vizquel instead. Young should be back in the lineup on Friday.

News: Young (hamstring) expects to be back in the lineup on Monday, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.

Analysis: Sunday's meltdown left the Rangers six back with seven to play, and they can be eliminated with any loss over the next four games, but Young has expressed an interest to finish out the season so the chances of Texas shutting him down once eliminated are pretty small. If you need a bat for the final week, Young figures to be a decent option.
